making skillednursing facilities (SNFs) theprovider of choice for
short-termand long-term rehabilitationand subacutecare.

skillednursingcarehas changeddramatically in recent years,”

UPMCSeniorCommunitieshas six skillednursing facilities in

at other regional facilities, allowingus tocare for patients
requiringcomplex respiratorycare, rehabilitation services,
orwoundcare, aswell aspatientswith transplantsandother
specializedneeds.”
TheUPMCSeniorCommunitiesclinical team is supportedby
amedical director, certified registerednursepractitioner (CRNP),
certifiedwoundcarenurse, and infectioncontrol nurseateach
SNF facility.Additionally, each rehabilitationdepartment isaffiliated
withUPMCCenters forRehabServices, providingaccess to the
latest treatmentsand therapies, andhighly trainedphysical and
occupational therapists.
